Philippines Chapter

The Philippine Honeynet Chapter is a group of Filipino volunteers whose mission is to promote information security, and to help individuals and organizations in the Philippines in protecting their computer and network systems through research, education, and training.
Our goals are:

  • Identify the threats to computer and network systems in the Philippines and the risks posed by these threats, and how to mitigate the risks.
  • Study attack trends and provide an "early warning system" for individuals and organizations in the Philippines.
  • Share the findings and lessons learned, providing information about attacks to computer and network systems, specially those targeting Philippine networks, and how to prevent these attacks.

Research Focus: Malware collection, Distributed Honeynets in collaboration with the UK Chapter.
